Looking for home or foster in NL

Marseille is an affectionate, gentle and calm, about 6 years old gentleman.  After living all his life on a chain, one year ago he was brought to the shelter. Don't ask us why such a beautiful and easy going dog has been so long in the shelter. All we know is that he wasn't doing well in the stressful shelter environment: he started getting panic attacks and kept trying to escape his kennel.  This is how he ended up in foster care in Lithuania.

In the foster home he lives with other two dogs and 5 cats.  He made great friends with the two dogs and enjoys playing with them a lot.  As for cats he is maybe a bit scared of them, but is polite and makes sure to go out of his way to keep the cats satisfied.  Marseille is friendly with everyone, also the people who he doesn't know, but can be insecure with loud or unpredictable humans, therefore it is better for him to live in a calm household with no kids.

Marseille is a gentle sensitive soul and we are looking for him for someone who would be like him. Under stress he tends to shut down, therefore he needs a human who sees and understands when something is too much for Marseille. He is quite sensitive to loud noises, though in the short period of few months that he has been in foster care he made great progress and can now deal pretty well with, for example, thunderstorms.

If you are looking for a best friend with whom you can cuddle up, have calm walks and enjoy sunbathing together in the sun, then Marseille is the one for you! He is easy going, affectionate, but needs someone who would always make sure to check in with Marseille that he is ok and happy.
