Looking for home

For a long while whenever people walked into Utena shelter, they would be greeted by three affectionate and loving black cats - Phase, Troll and Little Whale. Now that Troll and Little Whale have both found homes in The Netherlands, we are hoping for the Christmas miracle to happen on sweet lady Phase too!

Just like the phases of the moon, Phase has gone through her own journey —from darkness to light. Now, she’s shining brighter than ever, ready to light up your life!

Phase came to the shelter from a cat feeding station in heartbreaking condition— sick, exhausted, and barely clinging to life. Her road to recovery was long and miraculous. Through weeks of care, IV fluids, she began to heal. Slowly but surely, her body grew stronger, and her bright spirit emerged like the moon returning from an eclipse.

Even an old eye injury couldn’t dim her shine! Her eye has healed, and Phase now sees the world with love, curiosity, and gratitude.

Phase is One of a Kind — she’s confident, brave, and always ready for love. Phase adores people and loves to stay close — without ever being too demanding. Her calm presence makes her the perfect companion for any peaceful home.
