Hi! My name is Trixie.

Trixie was abandoned at a local cat feeding site at about 2 months age. But don't fret! She was so confident and independent that she immediately inserted herself into the colony of grown ups.

However, after a while, the caretaker noticed she was getting sick... With the help of a local shelter, Trixie was taken to the clinic and bounced back quickly. However, we found out that she has FeLV.

Nevertheless, Trixie is now 2 years old, living a happy and healthy life. And even though her life expectancy is lower with FeLV, she deserves to have the best life as much as any cat!

Trixie is very active, friendly and gets along with others, although ideally she would live as the only cat or with other FeLV cats.

Life can be cruel and unpredictable to all of us sometimes! Trixie’s caregiver with an extremely big heart, has been looking after feral and abandoned cats for years. She was one of the first to push the municipality to fund the TNR programme, established a local cat feeding site, personally took hundreds of cats to be spayed, saved uncountable numbers of sick and abandoned cats and kittens, and fed them all every day! Including taking in 9 cats into her own warm household to live a happy kitty life.

However, the caregiver recently suffered a stroke. While hoping for the best, after long rehabilitation it became clear that she won't be able to get back to her cats and take care of them properly. So the many lovely furballs are looking for new forever homes!
